SoftwareAll you windows loving wankers cried about it...

Many of you figured out imaginable ways to hack it...

Now Apple has taken the plunge and decided to help you out!!!!

More and more people are buying and loving Macs. To make this choice simply irresistible, Apple will include technology in the next major release of Mac OS X, Leopard, that lets you install and run the Windows XP operating system on your Mac. Called Boot Camp (for now), you can download a public beta today.

Sounds Great!!!  So what is in this 83 Meg Download???

Included Amenities
For your convenience, Boot Camp burns a CD with all the Mac-specific drivers for Windows:

Graphics
Networking
Audio
AirPort wireless
Bluetooth
The Eject key (on Apple keyboards)
Brightness control for built-in displays
This CD also installs a Startup Disk control panel for Windows. To find it, look for Startup Disk in the Performance and Maintenance section of the Windows XP Control Panel. See the Installation & Setup Guide for more details.

I Especially like these 2 little tidbits of information on the apple site basically stating their feelings on Windows XP and all of Microsofts Warez in general...
Outdated Old Crap running on outdate old systems...

EFI and BIOS
Macs use an ultra-modern industry standard technology called EFI to handle booting. Sadly, Windows XP, and even the upcoming Vista, are stuck in the 1980s with old-fashioned BIOS. But with Boot Camp, the Mac can operate smoothly in both centuries.

Word to the Wise
Windows running on a Mac is like Windows running on a PC. That means it’ll be subject to the same attacks that plague the Windows world. So be sure to keep it updated with the latest Microsoft Windows security fixes.

I agree with you fully.

I was into the Macs when we used them in school, but I got my Real Mac Buzz when I got my first Mac...

Macintosh Performa 5200CD!!!

An All-In-One Monitor/Computer with CD-Rom...  and Optional TV Card...

Of course I was unlucky enough not to have the TV Card, but was lucky enough to have a Sony remote which I could use to turn the computer On and Off with...

It was great being woken up by my mac turning itself on and playing some music for me, in the morning...

After that I spent some real cash on a G3 300Mhz Beige Tower...  Just before the Smurfs came out!!!

I still have these computers around...  my G3 is still useable, and runs Mac OSX 10.2.x right now...

The future will see Apple Moving forward, with Lil Billy chasing him from far behind...  if only Billy had some originality, he might be able to catch up one day.
