I guess this is a "bug" that's been in Web App for awhile.  If a member has a + or something like that in their user name, admin and other members can't view their profile and they can't edit it.  One guy on my site (from the Czech Republic) fixed this for her somehow in a previous version, but the upgrade un-did his fix.  Any ideas?  I think it doesn't like - or = either.  See the Problems section of my forum.

What Geniuses are using these characters in their name?

The script doesnt allow such usernames.

Characters used should only be:

A-Z 0-9
a-z

Using other characters can be problematic in all scripts.

Ooh yeah, the flags would be way cool!  Did you see our poll on the Home page for where everyone is from?

Teenagers think names like "Shane+GillianForever" are cute, that's why they're using unauthorized characters lol.  If Web App doesn't like them, it shouldn't have allowed them to create the names in the first place, duh.

How long has this person been a member?

if its a problem character they cant make their username like this.

If its the Name they are using...  they should just edit it back to something else...

Yes, the user name, since 12/30/03.  Jeff fixed it for her before so she could edit her profile, but I have no clue what he did.

BTW, I once told you to edit your contact information and delete the WebMasters Email Address...

Dont do that...  actually go back in there and put your email in the box as well.  I read somewhere its important, although it has never been on my sites...

I was waiting a bit for the bandwidth to rollover for next month...

Have to give Credit where credit is due...  for others that might see this, they can get the hack from BigMike!!!  at http://www.webapphacks.com

The version I used for you is an updated version so they dont have to update the stats.dat file unless they want to add in more countries in which case they can use my updated stats.dat without underscores "_"

I still need to get a package of this together for BigMike... reminds me ;)
