I am working on this using the new block admin files.

I have managed to get the bottom block working perfectly...

I am having issues getting the top blocks to load correctly due to breaking the tables of the theme dropping the right blocks under the left blocks...  hope to figure it out shortly.

Next will be dual column blocks.

TOp Blocks are now working, as well as the lower blocks...

I will now continue testing and once they are perfected I will wrap them up as a simple mod.

I will then work ont he next version containing multi-columns.

I am also looking into inserting plugins in the blocks, like the center plugins hack.

will look into it further after testing of existing mod.

So when are the Top-Bottom Blocks set for release? I've got some ideas for this feature.

I have a beta package being tested right now, and I will test it on another site to see how it installs...

After that I will release it here...

I too would be willing to test the center block top / bottom block mod as I found this very useful with past versions of webapp.

Just come back here and give me feedback on the package...

Was the install easy?  Everything make sense? All easy to follow?

Thanks for the mod I’m about to install it and see how it works.
Reading through the instructions you use statement such as, “add in the following subs on line 304 of theme.pl”, my theme and admin files have already been modified so the line numbers don’t correspond, but there close. Not a problem for anyone who knows what there doing, but might be confusing to a novice. Just A thought!

Installation was a complete success! My installation procedure was as follows,

cgi-bin/admin/blockbottom.cgi
cgi-bin/admin/blocktop.cgi
cgi-bin/db/blocks/blockbottom.dat
cgi-bin/db/blocks/blocktop.dat
Above files where copied as included in the .zip

Additions to block.pl and admin.pl where copied and pasted from the “You MUST ReadMe” file. block.pl and admin.pl where then placed in user-lib.

Additions to theme.pl and pollfooter where also copied and pasted from the “You MUST ReadMe” file.

Good job on getting the mod working
