Web-App 0.9.9.2 Beta 6 Full Install ???

I learn from the Download section the released of the Web-App 0.9.9.2 Beta 6 Full Install. Currently we have the Web-App 0.9.9.2 Beta 5 Full Install and it seem fine.

My question, do we really need to update to Web-App 0.9.9.2 Beta 5?
If so.
What files of the Web-App 0.9.9.2 Beta 5 should we update to Web-App 0.9.9.2 Beta 6?, without having to re-install all over as we have made few customization and adding few web-app hacks to fit our need.

Any assistant is great

Thats easy...

The Full Install Packages here are the full installers that I have put together...

you need the beta6 upgrade pack.

Normally you could get the upgrade packs from MoreWebApp or from links off the www.web-app.org site.

I upgrade my version today with the beta6 upgrade pack.

downloaded from here: http://www.2xlnt.com/files/Web-App/upgrades/0992betaupgradepack6.zip

But immediately after the update, I checked on all links and to see the fuctions. But unfortunately the Register page comes up with 500 Error page at: http://www.mydomainname.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=register

First, Upgrade to Beta 7 which has a lot of changes...
Second, check your permissions... make sure all the .cgi's are chmoded correctly...

Thats really the only thing I can think of right now... let me know more... as I cant get to your site to see the actual errors that might show up...

Thanks. I re-uploade the user.pl and it works now.

About updating to the current version Beta7.5, Please can you specify what files I need to update because we don't want to overright our current data.

I have downloaded the Web-App 0.9.9.2 Beta7.5 today from the download section of this website, but would like to know the actual files to upgrade.

Grab the Beta 7 Upgrade and the Beta 7 Fixes Files from the MoreWebApp site listed on the left side of the site...

it should all be there...

The 7.5 is just the beta 7 with the fix files.

If your going to upgrade, basicly backup your site so you dont lose anything by mistake...

then leave the /db folder alone as well as your plugins.pl file.

if you made some theme changes, I would go through the new theme files and re-edit the changes in... as there were some slight changes in the themes since beta 7(.5)

Hope this is useful to you... I know, I was a shmuck and over-wrote my plugins.pl and half of the blocks on the site are gone for now...

and no backup of course

Yes, I had my beta7.5 updated yesterday to 0.9.9.2 but i didn't update my theme.pl and I am using the black velvet theme.pl which i highly hacked to suit my taste, I didn't think I do need to update the theme.pl Everything seem working fine though. except you think I need to update the theme.pl, then I've to do that.
